Riddled by life the human of our story looks in the mirror and decides that today will be the day, he wants to find that which will make him happy in this lifetime, that one life calling that will turn his whole understanding of life onto its head. "Seek it", he hears a barely audible voice reassuring him, but before he can realise a smile is growing on his face he stops himself in his tracks and demands to know what is is that he is seeking or possibly going to find however the shy quite voice leaves only silence as its answer.
Our characters as human beings lives in a world of ever growing technology and expansion of what already exists, the choices that one has in this lifetime has grown exponentially. To know this character we need only to look at ourselves with curiosity and recognise that not much of what this world considers interesting is that interesting on a grand scale of things. Finding oneself staring out the window as the world grows distorted, you might go back to that place of curiosity and disbelief, with a heart that is ready to give you start wondering how you can give? You therefore can live a life for yourself where it is all about you so as to reach possible stardom or you can live a selfless life where you humble yourself and become a servant unto others. Seeking is an engaged mind with acute awareness, the act of paying attention to your current situation and perhaps questioning why it is the way that it is.
We live in a time where if I tell you to believe in something, you need to be able to answer the question of "Why?" why do I need to believe in this concept that you are explaining to me. Life has many paths and many of those paths will lead you to a place of having plenty in your life, plenty of money and possibly plenty of followers however you need to realise that none of those things will ever make you feel alive if it is not pure in terms of intent. Your intentions is the rudder to your ship, the guidance to your destiny, so if then you find your intentions are humble and selfless, you need to start seeking that which it is that you consider to be of a noble cause. Let us be honest, there exists many brands and many companies with the sole intent of making money, if you had to investigate the amount of companies thats sole intent is to lift up the life's of others your search will end quicker than you think. To seek with your mind is more than asking, you are focusing your heart and steps of your life in the direction of truth and love, the path that you will encounter is one of pure un-adulterated joy.
British novelist Matt Haig once said,” Look at the sky; remind yourself of the cosmos, seek vastness at every opportunity in order to see the smallness of yourself". Firstly, yes it is hard to come to terms that you are very insignificant on the grand scheme of things, you are a speckle of dust in a vastness of pure majesty however the price of the speckle of dust far out weighs any other planetary bodies as you are made in the image of God. The God of this universe breathed life into you and gave you the gift of free will as a token of his love for you. This means that you are free to choose the path that you want to but the simple fact remains that if your path is inconsistent with who you were made to be, things will feel a little off until the journey of seeking and finding takes place. Seeking therefore the things of God should not be seen as an inconvenience or chore but rather be seen as the act of growing exponentially in Wisdom and understanding so as to become better versions of ourselves. To live in the will of God is to live the ultimate reality, yes there any many different realities but when God came to man on earth he walked a certain way and he was a certain way for a reason, this was clearly to show us that if you want peace, purpose and love in all of your endeavours walk in the qualities that he had.
Life at times can seem cruel when it happens to us and not to someone else, however after going through what you did it should be that much clearer that when it happens to others they need your support and possibly love. If we as humans could just gaze into each others eyes rather than communicate the words, I feel that we almost would communicate in a better way in that certain moment, the reason being that there is space for error in words or error in judgment, picture having pure effort to understand each other with the least amount of descriptions. It should not be that hard to know the needs of your fellow man as you are much the same and share in this need. Seeking will bring you to many doors and each one knocked on will eventually be opened but there exists one door to God and that is your personal relationship with him. Just as easily as you speak to yourself during the day you can speak to God in the form of communicating, your requests or seeking of guidance and you will find that the more you do this the more it seems like the relationship makes sense. I am not good enough, but by the grace of God your surrendering to him is an act of momentary loss of steering wheel rights so as to get a whole new vehicle all together. Take the steps in your life towards the things that you do want then in confidence, as you are no longer doing it out of selfishness but rather out of love, desiring that the peace you experience others need to at least be aware of too.
Be curios, no one is going to seek or find that which you deem to be worth the energy of pursuit. Curiosity will ignite in you a flame that you might have thought has long forgotten about you, heed not the call of purpose as you were made for more than just getting up, surviving and trying to keep it together all day. Seeking and finding your purpose is one of the most rewarding things that life can throw your way and it always starts with the recognition that it is mostly not about you or me but rather what you and I can do to impact the life's of those still confused about what is going on. I can honestly say that my life took a turn for the better once I realised that, I have been selfish in presuming life exists only in my world, it clearly exists as one big picture with a grand artist painting the clouds with a new look each day different than the last.
